Know Your Coffees

Unlike in many countries, Portugal enjoys a varied selection of coffees.  Know yours and you will be served!

We only use <b>Delta® “Platinum”</b>  quality coffee, the best of the Delta® line.

<b>Bica (Expresso):</b>  Short, strong and good.  Can be “corto” (short) or “cheio”, (full) ..if you want to be picky.  We have even served “meio cheios” (¾ full) but not often!

<b>Pingado (Macchiato):</b>  A bica (expresso) with a drop of hot frothy milk.

<b>Americano (Abatanado):</b>  A long, black, not too strong coffee.  Can be served with hot milk on the side.

<b>Meio de Leite (Café au lait):</b>   Larger than a bica with hot frothy milk

<b>Galão (Latte):</b>  Same as a Meio de Leite but in a bigger glass cup.
